1. Who is eligible for Tapas?
Any Student who is studying in Class X in Karnataka, with atleast 80% marks in Class IX exams and a family income of less than Rs 1,50,000 is eligible for Tapas

2. How much is the fees for the program?
There is no fee for this program. The entire program is free, including accommodation and food.

3. Why is this available only for boys?
There are many aspects that will need to be taken care of. At this point of time, we are ready for managing boys. In the future, we will plan for Girls.

4. Where will the written exam be conducted?
Ans; The written exam will be conducted at Distirct head quarters and some additional towns. The complete list of centres is available on our website www.tapasedu.org

5. Where will the interview be conducted?
Ans:The interviews will be conducted in select towns. The details of the places where the interviews will be conducted shall be informed to the students who qualify in the written test

6. What is the syllabus for the written exam? Which subjects will be tested in the written exam?
The syllabus for the written exam will be the same as what is in Class X. The subjects will be Science(Physics, Chemistry) and Mathematics

7. What is the pattern of the written exam?
The written exam will be having Multiple choice questions.

8. Will the written test also be in Kannada?
Yes, the written test will also be in Kannada language

9. Whom should we submit the filled up application form to?

The application forms need to be sent through the Head Master / Principal of yourschool to

10. Is there any amount to be paid for the application form and written exam?
There is no fee to be paid for either the application form or for the written exam.

11. How will we receive the Hall Tickets?
There will be no separate hall tickets. The student should bring two copies of the application form to the exam. The application form will itself serve as the Hall ticket. The student will be given a unique register number in the exam hall.

12. What Should I bring to the examination?
You will need to bring HB Pencils, Erasers and a Ball point pen. You will not be allowed to carry Mobile phones, Calculators, bags and electronic gadgets into the examination hall.

13. When will the results of the written exam be announced?
The results of the written exam will be announced within two weeks of the written exam>
